Manyana is for Couples, Families or extended families wanting enjoy time together or to explore the Tropical Far North Coast of Queensland. Just 20 mins from Cairns airport and 40 mins from Port Douglas. The Beach is 350m away, the shopping Centre 400m away and Palm Cove with all its restaurants is 30 mins walk by wide beach and bush tracks or a 5 minute drive.
The space
Manyana is our home styled to make the most of Cairns tropical climate and to accommodate our extended family when they visit. It is a tranquil, leafy and colourful place. The garden or pool can be seen from every room except the back bedroom and main bathroom.
It comprises the main residence with 3 bedrooms, study and 2 bathrooms (floor plan included in pictures), an open-air outdoor bathroom, and a separate self-contained studio villa that has its own outdoor area with spa pool and a gate leading to the pool. You have direct access to the pool from the studio, if fact you can see the pool from the bed.
The Master Bedroom and ensuite have wonderful natural light and views to the garden all around. The ensuite also has pool and garden views but you can pull the blinds if you wish. A “feature” of the house when we bought it was the lack of a door from the bedroom to the ensuite bathroom. We have added cafe-style swing doors to give a little more privacy but they are not full length, I have included a picture of the doors.
Please do not book Manyana if you are not comfortable about this bathroom arrangement.
The pool and entertaining area are completely private.
There is air-conditioning in every bedroom and in the lounge.
There are blockout blinds on all of the bedroom windows/doors.
There are flyscreens on the louvres, bedroom doors, kitchen servery and patio doors.
There is a spa pool outside the studio which you can request to use. However it is tempermental so I can’t promise that it will be possible.
Guest access
There is a double carport with roller doors and also a lockable side gate. The remote control for this carport will be provided.
Other things to note
Manyana is our home and has personal effects in it. Hence some of the cupboards will be locked.
At times our caravan may be parked in the second carport which is screened off and outside the main bedroom. The gates for this carport will be locked.
